Well, it's all there now: the link is towards the bottom of the page. In the meantime, I've now got to go down the shops and buy myself a hat, if only for the plain and simple reason that I have to take it off to all those that took the time to cast their vote. My target this year was to break the voting ton - 92 last year was tantalisingly close. We've positively crashed through the 100 barrier with room to spare, the total number of voters this year stands at an impressive 116 - thanks to one and all. 116 doesn't sound like a big number, but when you have 10 songs to pick each, that's 1160 individual votes for the best songs. That's a bit bigger, isn't it?
The results were sorted out as follows. Your votes were submitted into a database, containing all the songs. I then simply got the database to tot up the totals and compile the chart. The scoring system remains the same as previous years, the old tried and trusted "10 points for a number 1 vote, down to 1 point for a number 10 vote" system. Because the chart itself is compiled by sorting the list of songs by the following criteria (in order of importance, the subsequent criteria used if there was a tie):
Then do feel free to let me know, I'll try and correct any mistakes made. So, without further ado, here it is for you to pore over:
